MUF’s Two Big Concerts!

melbukefest

We are excited to reveal that #MUF23 will bring you headliner concerts on BOTH Friday and Saturday nights!

In 2023 the Friday night Concert will be at the wonderful Thornbury Theatre and Saturday night will be at the inviting Chalice Hall.

Both concerts will keep you spellbound with captivating artists.

The Friday night concert will feature an international act with an extensive touring record, but never before in Australia!

Dead Mans Uke

Dead Mans Uke are an award winning two man band playing dirt swing, hokum and old blues tunes as well as crazy covers and anything else they fancy on double bass and a resonator ukulele that belonged to Tiny Tim... they play shows in bars, music venues, parties, festivals and theatres across the UK and recently in Prague, Dublin, Austria, Paris, Bavaria, Poland, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and even Saudi Arabia…

Saturday night is guaranteed to have you *Magic* Dancing with one of Australia’s most celebrated bands fresh from touring the east coast and widely gigging in Victoria!

The Thin White Ukes

The Thin White Ukes perform the songs of David Bowie with love and harmony.

⚡️

The glamorously attired Melbourne trio travels six decades deep into the great art-rock visionary’s swooning songbook of smash hits and astounding obscurities, each lovingly reassembled for precision acoustic strings and three richly entwined voices. ⚡️

Betty France, Michael Dwyer and Robert Stephens came together in the antipodean winter of 2015 to celebrate the Australian opening of the historic David Bowie Is... exhibition. An instant hit with rabid fans and innocent bystanders alike, they have since entranced audiences from cabaret lounges to folk festivals; outback pubs and clubs as far afield as mainland China.

⚡️

The Thin White Ukes' high passion, mellifluous musicality and stunning attention to detail honour and illuminate Mr Bowie's beloved back catalogue with a rare degree of creative invention, an act of homage befitting their hero's relentless quest for adventure. ⚡️ Put on your red shoes. They’ll be floating in a most peculiar way.

Like and share to your friends - let's keep the magic alive! Keep an eye our for more information of who is performing at the Festival!
