Position Statement on Covid-19 for MUF 2020

MUF2020 is going ahead as planned as per current event recommendations.

Enjoying music, playing music, gathering as communities and having fun are wonderful things for our immune systems and general wellbeing.

We have sought advice from local and state governments for best practice for our festival attendees. Common sense health and hygiene principles apply.

  • Hand washing facilities are available at all venues, with soap for lathering and paper towels for hand drying.  Handwashing guidelines will be posted in all toilets to help remind us the best way to keep our hands clean. Handwashing is recommended over using bottled hand sanitisers, as it’s more thorough, doesn’t take as long, and is most effective.

  • Tissues will be available

  • Social distancing - you are not being rude if you don’t want to shake hands or hug anyone

  • If you have cold like symptoms please look after yourself and the community and stay tucked up at home.

We will monitor the situation for updates, and keep you informed via the website.

The MUF 2020 Committee is very happy that we can go ahead and look forward very much to bringing you a wonderful festival this weekend.
