So many people have travelled from near and far to be part of our festival - THANK YOU EVERYBODY! We would be delighted to hear your thoughts - please sharpen your quills and click through to our survey.
Once upon a time, there was a fabulous Ukulele Festival. Beautiful princesses and handsome princes, evil stepmothers and all manner of ogres and beasts congregated in the enchanted suburbs of Melbourne's inner north, playing their ukuleles and having a wondrous time.
Then, after three days of mirth and merriment, it disappeared - only to manifest again the following year, and the year after, and the year after...
Like something from a fairy tale, the 5th Melbourne Ukulele Festival will be held on the 7th-9th of March, 2014 (Labour Day weekend), in and around the local Haunted Castle (the Northcote Town Hall). The fairy godmothers in the committee are hard at work putting all the details together - you can follow the story on Facebook, on Twitter, or return to this website as the fable unfolds. The Melbourne Ukulele Festival - not too big, not too small - it's just right!
And we'll all live happily ever after. The end.
Proudly presented by Lord Uke.
