The team behind MUF is excited to announce that we are planning a return to the traditional MUF timeslot of early March... but since MUF2016 was only a short while ago, first we need a little bit of a break! So there won't be a full scale Melbourne Ukulele Festival in 2017, but if things work we might still host a smaller event or two during this year.
We still have a lot of details to work out, including dates and venues, but for the moment we're aiming at approximately 9-11 March, 2018. We'll keep you updated with any news! All being well, we will accept performer applications around October/November 2017.
The 2016 Melbourne Ukulele Festival's fairground gates have creaked closed, but the music and memories will continue on! Huge thanks to everyone involved in putting on such a remarkable event - our festival partners and sponsors, benefactors, performers, audiences, venues, production crew, volunteers, exhibitors and stallholders... and everyone else!

Roll up! Roll up! The 2016 Melbourne Ukulele Festival will be held over the weekend of 28th–30th of October.
The Darebin City Council have invited us to celebrate the mighty ukulele in conjunction with the Darebin Music Feast and we've been allocated these dates falling on the Melbourne Cup long weekend. We have grand plans as always, with everything from jam sessions and workshops to star studded intimate acoustic performances and spectacular evening shows featuring international acts.
|The 2016 Melbourne Ukulele Festival is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.|
|The festival is also proudly supported by the City of Darebin.|
